It is accessible to visitors via a ferry from Klang. Visitors like to visit the island during weekends to enjoy the rustic scenery and delectable seafood.

Market Street (featured in the next painting) is the main street of Pulau Ketam. In the morning, the street is lined with stalls selling all kinds of fresh produce, seafood and other foodstuff. In the afternoon, the stalls would have packed up for the day, leaving the permanent shops open throughout the day. Do try the famous oyster omelettes (known locally as or chien), nasi lemak and seafood dishes.
